All full time and several part time faculty and staff have been hired for the 2010 – 2011 school year. We are now hiring for the following part-time positions:
Paraprofessionals. These individuals will do small group teaching of Fundations in 1st and 2nd grade, and possibly some teaching in Special Ed. The pay is $10 per hour. Qualifications include a minimum of two years of higher education, or an associate’s degree. Ideally, applicants will have some experience in education, or are part of a university education program. The time commitment will fluctuate from 2-6 hours per day. Applicants must be available mornings.
Extended Day Supervisor. This person will manage intake of all after school Extended Day students and monitor homework completion, snack and play time. The pay is $10 per hour. Qualifications include experience in managing children and keeping basic records. Applicants should love working with children. Hours are from 3 – 6:00pm every school day. Other duties include keeping the Extended Day room tidy and organized, fostering a creative and supportive atmosphere, maintaining discipline as appropriate, and attending required CPR and other trainings.
Extended Day Assistant. This person would support the Extended Day Supervisor in assisting where needed. The pay is $9 per hour. Applicants should be at least 17 years old and love working with children. Hours are from 3:00pm until the point that student enrollment dips below 15 students, every school day.
Playground Monitors. Two playground monitors are needed to supervise children during lunch recess. The pay is $9 per hour. Hours are from approximately 10:45am – 12:45pm each school day. The position requires dependability. Responsibilities include monitoring children, managing playground equipment, resolving playground conflicts, and attending required CPR and other trainings.
